"Beautiful" on "Glee" New Season!

"Glee" Spoilers Warning!

Episode three, is called "Home"and includes another terrific example of this when Mercedes performs Christina Aguilera's "Beautiful," a song which, well, beautifully illustrates what her character has gone through that episode. (To be fair, her actual storyline in that ep is done pretty well, but the song really drives the point home.)

Billboard: Dance-Pop Craze Would Be Incomplete Without Her

Christina Aguilera
In the four years since Christina Aguilera released her last studio album, "Back to Basics," pop ingĂ©nues like Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Ke$ha have built their careers on bold theatrics, neo-feminist personas and throbbing club beats. Aguilera brings all of that to the table on "Not Myself Tonight," her lead single from the upcoming "Bionic," but ups the stakes considerably with her trademark, octave-straddling runs and glory notes. Aguilera channels a more Euro-glamorous version of her former "dirrty" alter-ego Xtina on "Tonight," dashing lyrics about self-reinvention with breathy chants and naughty expletives. Producer Polow Da Don, who co-wrote "Tonight" with "Drop It Low" singer/songwriter Ester Dean, adds dripping synths, pulsing basslines and tribal house drums that sound appealingly unfinished. Paired with Aguilera's unmatched vocal range, "Tonight" proves that the current dance-pop craze would be incomplete without her. —Michael Menachem

Sia On Linda Perry, Not Much Magic There

Wow. You and Linda Perry didn’t click?

“I wasn’t feeling well the day I wrote with Linda Perry. She had just finished a writing session working with P!nk. I remember walking into Linda’s studio and thinking it was the size of a football stadium. She had a piano in the middle of the room with pens, pencils, and pads of paper set out on top of it ready for us to use. I usually write in bedrooms, not in rooms like Linda Perry’s football stadium sized studio.

Linda told me that P!nk was coming over with her hog and would take me for a ride.” Sia recalls being in disbelief at what her life was like that day. “I thought to myself, This is not my life! I do not write songs in rooms as big as this and go for rides on hogs with P!nk!” After excusing herself with an explanation that she wasn’t feeling so good, Sia went straight home and continued to write Colour The Small One.

How did you get involved in the writing process for Christina Aguilera’s forthcoming record Bionic?

“Christina had her management call up my management to see about working together,” Sia says. Apparently, Christina had her management make calls to some of her favorite artists and writers to set up possible collaborations. One of the people she was already working with? Linda Perry, the writer behind Aguilera’s enormous smash hit “Beautiful.” Of course Aguilera would team up with Perry for her new album. “I thought to myself, Linda? Maybe I should give her another chance,” Sia remembers.

“Christina had a couple of Zero 7 records and knew that I had written with and for Zero 7. I actually had my managers call her managers to see about having Christina sing on my song ‘Death By Chocolate’ on my last album [Some People Have Real Problems]. I don’t think her managers ever delivered the message to her because I never heard back about it. My management didn’t even know her name! They called her ‘Christine’ with an ‘e’ at the end instead of an ‘a.’ I bet that upset her people.” This time around, the communication between each singer’s management team occurred without questionable interruption. “I have new management now,” laughs Sia.

Christina’s management called Sia and asked if they could set up a phone call for her and Christina to chat. “She called me and I asked her, ‘What do you want?’ basically,” recalls Sia. “She asked me if I had anybody in mind I wanted to bring along to our first writing session, which I did. After our initial conversation, Christina called us back to write a song for her. I called my bass player Sam [Dixon] and said, ‘Let’s go write with Christina Aguilera’ and we did.” In the end, all four songs that Sia and Sam wrote for Christina made it onto her upcoming album, due out this spring. Good news for any songwriter! One of your songs makes it onto a Christina Aguilera record? You’re golden, my friend. Absolutely golden.

Russell Brand Flirty Snog With Christina Aguilera

Katy Perry and Russell Brand kiss cut from "Get Him To The Greek"...

It was the kiss that sparked the romance between Katy Perry and Russell Brand - but it's hit or miss whether anyone will get to see it. Because we hear the snog in the movie Get Me To The Greek ended up on the cutting room floor. Instead it wasswapped for a flirty snog with Christina Aguilera instead.
Cue a mad panic to get it back in the film when they found out they were dating. A source said: "There has been a few early screenings over in the States and Katy wasn't in it. "Everyone had been waiting for the big kiss scene, but it wasn't there. It's the moment the big romance started. And now they are getting married - it's like a fairytale unraveling infront of our eyes. The scene has got to get back in there."

PerezHilton: Heidi Montag Tries To Ride On Xtina's Coattails!

Seriously?
The Real Heidi Doll is clearly trying to steal our girl Christina Aguilera's thunder with her conveniently titled new demo, Bionic (Energetic, Enthusiastic, Adventurous)!!
Yeah. Except too bad it sucks. Hard!
We have no shame admitting that although they're never good, some of Frankentittays' tunes are passable, mindless pop. This, however, is just painful.
Take it out back and put it out of its misery!!

Claude Kelly talks "Glam" in Bionic!

Pop/R&B hit maker Claude Kelly (Kelly Clarkson's “My Life Would Suck Without You,” Britney Spears' “Circus,” R. Kelly's “Echo”) isn’t buying the comparisons. The busy songsmith, who wrote four tracks for Aguilera’s upcoming Bionic project and has penned songs for Gaga mentor Akon, insists Christina deserves more respect.
“That’s crap to me…it’s really bullshit,” Kelly tells VIBE. “Christina Aguilera has been around for over 10 years now. As far as pop goes, she is the defining voice of today’s music. She can do things with her voice that I haven’t heard anybody else do. She’s constantly reinventing herself. As fans, as soon as an album is done and an artist disappears for a while, we tend to write them off as over or no longer relevant.”
Kelly continues: “In the time that she has been gone, Gaga, who I know pretty well, has had an unbelievable run. Christina has an album that’s going to slap people in the face. The music still has her signature, big note vocals and emotions, but the sound is definitely more aggressive, more futuristic than the last album.”
When pressed about how Aguilera intends on proving the naysayers wrong, Kelly points to his work on Bionic.
“I wrote this crazy ass song with Tricky Stewart called 'Glam,'" he says. “It’s a hard club song that’s about high fashion. It’s really for the ladies about getting dressed and looking your best, working it in the club and getting glam and sexy before you go out. Christina wants to talk about getting sexy and independent, but being strong at the same time. It will surprise people. I’m calling it a modern day ‘Vogue.’ I wouldn’t say it unless I believed it.”

Christina's Special Message To Fans

Dear Fans,
I have been hard at work over the last year or so preparing for this moment.  As you know, I have just wrapped production on my first feature film, Burlesque, which will be in theaters this Thanksgiving.  And I will finally be releasing my fourth studio album, Bionic, this summer on June 8thI couldn’t be more excited to finally share this material with you all and I wanted to reach out and let you know what this project is all about for me.

Each album I release is a representation of my personal life experiences and how they have shaped me.  I strongly believe that life is all about growth, self-discovery and self-expression.  Making music allows me to define my experiences and share them with others who might hopefully relate.  Over the past four years I have learned a lot about myself and what I am capable of.  What all women are capable of.  Since the release of my last studio album, Back to Basics, I have become a mother, a wife, and most recently an actress.  All of these new experiences have allowed me to face new challenges and explore different sides of myself I did not even know existed.  I am a woman who wears many hats and carries many responsibilities.  There are so many characteristics that define me, and this album was put together to represent all of those different parts of myself.  The sound is not necessarily easy to define because I am not easy to define.  I can be serious.  I can be playful.  Sexual. Loving.  Tough.  Hardworking.  Honest.  To capture all of these characteristics I chose to collaborate with a variety of artists and producers across different musical genres.  I was able to explore and create a fresh, sexy feel using both electronic and organic elements with subject matters ranging from playful to introspective.   This allowed me to challenge myself by using my voice in ways I never had before.  It also allowed me to push personal boundaries and explore what is possible for my future and me as an artist.
You will find on this album songs that represent the many sides of me.  I have learned that like all women I am sometimes capable of being superhuman.  Like all women I am BIONIC
I look forward to seeing all of you on the road very soon.  In the meantime, keep checking here as I am preparing to launch my new and improved website  in the near future.  It will be a place for you all to connect with each other, with me, and to insure that you are updated with all official information. There are a lot of fun surprises in store for this year!

Get ready, and I’ll see you all soon…
With love,
C/X
